USM offers a variety of financial support to help students pay their graduate education. For selected students, funds may include graduate assistantships, tuition scholarships, and other graduate financial awards.
Graduate Studies Scholarship Application 2014-2015

The first round deadline is January 10, 2014. The second round deadline is March 10, 2014.
Catharine Wilder Guiles Scholarships
In order to receive this scholarship students must be matriculated into either the MS in Nursing program, Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner concentration or the MSW program; be in the second year of their program with a demonstrated financial need; and be a Maine resident. This scholarship will be in the amount of $2,000 for the academic year 2013-2014, and will be applied directly to the student's bill. This scholarship is awarded for one year. The CWG scholarship process for the 2013-2014 academic year has been completed.
Expanding Horizons Scholarship
The Expanding Horizons Scholarship is for first-time non-matriculated graduate students. This scholarship is offered for the fall semester only.

You must file your FAFSA form to be eligible for federal student loans for graduate study. Indicate your interest in work-study on your application. Eligibility for work-study funds is determined by USM's Financial Aid Office.
