The mission of the Office of Research Administration and Development is to promote and support research, scholarship and creative activity; to assist faculty, staff and students in obtaining intramural and extramural support; to serve as an advocate for the value of research at USM; and to encourage the use of research, scholarship and creative activity to enrich education, enhance commercialization and development, and to serve the community.

The recipients of the 2013-2014 Faculty Senate Research Grants were announced at the RSCA Celebration on April 30th. Funding for these grants come from the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Thinking Matters, our annual celebration of student research and creativity, is being held Friday April 26, 2013 on the Portland Campus and is in need of volunteers help to make this year’s event a success.
