U. S. Senator Susan M. Collins was the keynote speaker at USM’s morning ceremony and President of the Bernard Osher Foundation Mary G.F. Bitterman was the keynote speaker at the afternoon ceremony. Both ceremonies were held Saturday, May 11, in the USM Field House, Gorham.

Theodora J. Kalikow Named USM President
The University of Southern Maine community welcomes Theodora J. Kalikow as its new president effective on July 10. Her appointment was approved by the University of Maine System Board of Trustees at its meeting held Monday, July 9.
President Kalikow succeeds Selma Botman who will lead an effort to develop and expand the University of Maine System’s international education programs.
