The mission of University Health and Counseling Services (UHCS) is to promote, maintain and improve the health and well being of the University of Southern Maine (USM) community. UHCS provides clinical services, education, training, service education, multicultural expertise and preventative health care outreach which support USM’s core priorities of building community, commitment to diversity and strengthening student success. UHCS is proud to provide the USM community with professional health and counseling services which are distinguished for quality care and teaching.
Counseling Services provides comprehensive psychological services which include mental health evaluations, counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, outreach, workshops, and training/service learning.
Health Services promotes, maintains and improves the health and well being of USM students by providing care which includes acute illness, annual exams, complete physicals, sports physicals for all USM athletes, immunizations, LGBTQ health care, birth control, lab testing and service learning.
