TELESCOPE WORKSHOP

Monday, August 27th

7:00 - 9:30 p.m.

Admission:    $8.00 - adults; $5.00 - children

An opportunity to learn the basics of telescopes!    How do they work? How can I use them?   What is the best telescope to purchase?

Telescopes can be quite intimidating.    They enable us to discover the wonders of the Universe, but they seem a bit frightening and complicated.

Well, fret no longer.

Here is your chance to learn how to use, assemble and align a telescope.   We'll have a brief presentation about telescopes and then we'll offer you personal assistance with your own scope.  Or, we'll be here to answer questions and help you understand the fundamentals.

Telescopes can be as scary as they are useful.

Conquer your fear of them at the Southworth Planetarium's next Telescope Workshop!

Call 207-780-4249 or e-mail  egleason@usm.maine.edu for more information.   You may register in advance and pay when you arrive.
