A practice course site is available to help you learn some of the features in Blackboard. You will need your “@maine.edu” username and password to enroll in the site.
Go to http://www.courses.maine.edu and log in with your “@maine.edu” username and password. Along the top of the page you’ll see a number of tabs. Click the Courses tab, then click Blackboard Practice Course in the Course Catalog area.
To enter the couse for the first time you must search for it and enroll in it. To search for the course select ID in the Course drop down menu. Next select Contains and past in the title: DEV_A_BB9PRACTICE. Also make sure Search Entire Catalog is selected. Then hit go.
You will then see DEV_A_BB9PRACTICE listed under Course List below. Select the down arrow next to this title and click Enroll.
Once you have enrolled you will see the Blackboard Practice Course listed in your My Courses area on your Blackboard homepage.
The practice site is set up as a typical course site. Many, but not all tools are functional. Because you are required to log in to the site, anything that you post will be identified with your name.
