The University of Southern Maine has invested millions of dollars in scholarships!

Click the links below for Undergraduate Admission Scholarships:

  • First Year Students: This includes merit-scholarships as well as the Charles J. Hoff Scholarship. To be eligible, students must complete their entire application by April 1.
  • Transfer Students: This includes the Lisa and Leon Gorman Scholarship as well as Osher Reentry and Phi Theta Kappa. A transfer student is defined as any student who has attended any postsecondary institution after the summer of high school graduation year.  
  • Other Scholarships : This includes International Merit Scholarships as well as several departments within the University administer scholarships to USM students. Many of these awards are reserved for continuing students.

Please note: Unless otherwise specified in the description for a particular scholarship (with a link provided), there are no scholarship applications for scholarships for incoming first-year and transfer students. All eligible incoming students who apply for admission to USM by the deadline indicated for each scholarship are automatically considered for applicable scholarships, and recipients are notified in writing if they have been awarded a scholarship.
