The USM Alumni Association Scholarship was established at the University of Southern Maine in 1996 by the University of Southern Maine Board of Directors. The fund shall be used to provide scholarship assistance to sons, grandsons, daughters and graddaughters or spouses of alumni who graduated from USM or one of its predecessor institutions (Gorham Normal School, Portland Junior College, Gorham State Teachers College, Gorham State College, University of Maine at Portland University of Maine at Portland-Gorham. USM is adding an additional $1 million in scholarships for the Fall 2015 semester

Considering college? USM is providing $1 million in new scholarships for all undergraduate and graduate degree applicants, making USM more affordable than ever. That's nearly $6 million in scholarships total for our students.

First-year undergraduate applicants who apply by April 1, 2015 will be automatically considered for merit scholarships and our new Bright Future and USM Husky scholarships.
