1LT Franklin Pangelinan enlisted in the United States Army in 1998 as an Infantryman. Prior to commissioning as an Army Officer, he held positions as a Fire Team Leader, Squad Leader, and Platoon Sergeant in Fort Shafter Hawaii, Camp Casey Korea, and Fort Sill Oklahoma. He commissioned in 2010 as a Quartermaster Officer, and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Cameron University in Oklahoma. He is also married and has one child.

1LT Franklin Pangelinan hails from the 82nd Airborne Division of Fort Bragg North Carolina where he served as a Platoon Leader with the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, and later held the Battalion Logistics Officer (S4) position for the Regiment. He has deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan in support of the war on terror and has been awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, Parachutist Badge, and Parachute Rigger Badge.
