Re-use, reduce, & recycle!
For the first time at USM, graduates were given the option to recycle their cap and gown in May 2009. After thousands of University graduates toss their caps into the air every May, most will eventually toss their cap and gown into the trash.
We're all very excited about this program and the potential positive impact it will have on the environment!

The Lost Symbol

Your Price = $20.96

Dan Brown’s new novel, the eagerly awaited follow-up to his #1 international phenomenon, The Da Vinci Code, which was the bestselling hardcover adult novel of all time with 81 million copies in print worldwide, will be published in the U.S. and Canada by Doubleday on September 15, 2009.

Dexter By Design - Back from his surprisingly glorious honeymoon in Paris, Miami blood spatter analyst Dexter Morgan is one step closer to perfecting his human disguise. Married life feels almost normal, and even seems to agree with him: he's a devoted husband who plays Kick the Can with his little Dexters-in-training, Astor and Cody; his stomach is full; and his homicidal hobbies are nicely under control. But old habits die hard . . . and Dexter's work for the Miami Police Department never fails to offer up new playmates - bad men who appeal to his offbeat and unshakable sense of justice.

Bookstore Staff Favorite!
Catching Fire - Against all odds, Katniss has won the Hunger Games. She and fellow District 12 tribute Peeta Mellark are miraculously still alive. Katniss should be relieved, happy even. After all, she has returned to her family and her longtime friend, Gale. Yet nothing is the way Katniss wishes it to be. Gale holds her at an icy distance. Peeta has turned his back on her completley. And there are whispers of a rebellion against the Capitol - a rebellion that Katniss and Peeta may have helped create.

Waddle! - The pink pig prances, the brown bear scampers, the gray elephant stomps. Just watch how these creatures move - with color. Seeing is believing!

My Life In France - Julie Child Singlehandedly awaked America to the pleasure of good cooking with her cookbook Mastering the Art of French Cooking and her television show The French Chef, but as she reveals in her bestselling memoir, she didn't know the first thing about cooking when she landed in France.

New Moon

Year of the Flood - The times and species have been changing at a rapid rate, and the social compact is wearing as thin as environmental stability. Adam One, the kindly leader of the God's Gardeners - a religion devoted to the melding of science and religion, as well as the preservation of all plant and animal life - has long predicted a natural disaster that will alter Earth as we know it. Now it has occurred, obliterating most human life. Two women have survived: Ren, a young trapeze dancer locked inside the high-end sex club Scales and Tails, and Toby, a God's Gardener barricaded inside a luxurious spa where many of the treatments are edible.

Where the Wild Things Are - This classic Maurice Sendak tale is being adapted to the big screen, coming to theaters in October 2009!
