Michael E. Dubyak, president and chief executive officer, Wright Express, has spent more than 18 years helping to build the company and creating the strategic plans, infrastructure and operating philosophies that now drive the company's success.  Dubyak has guided a technological transformation of Wright Express into a leading edge, information services company.

Dubyak came to the fledgling Wright Express in 1986 as vice president of marketing. He then held increasingly senior positions in marketing, marketing services, sales, business development and customer services before being named executive vice president in 1997. He became president and chief executive officer in August 1998 and now stands as the longest serving president in company history, providing critical management stability.

During his career at Wright Express, Dubyak has been instrumental in establishing the company's lines of business strategy, including the development of private label and co-brand relationships in the United States and driving retail-site acceptance of the Wright Express Universal Fleet Card.  He also brought on the MasterCard Corporate Card to penetrate new markets and played a vital role in solidifying the company's relationship with Canada-based Imperial Oil Ltd., which marked the company's first international foray.

Prior to joining Wright Express, Dubyak worked in marketing and supply and distribution at Pennzoil Company for three years before helping start and run Reserve Petroleum Company in 1977. 

Dubyak earned his bachelor's degree from Baldwin-Wallace College in Ohio .  He is an executive member of the Maine State Chamber of Commerce, the University of Southern Maine Board, the University of Southern Maine Board of Visitors, a member of the board for the Center for Grieving Children and has served on the Portland United Way Cabinet.
