USM fees
Application: A $40.00 fee is
required when a student applies for admission into an undergraduate
degree program. A $50.00 fee is required when a student applies for
admission into a graduate or law degree program.

Reactivation: A
$20.00 fee is required when a student previously accepted to a
degree program and returns after an extended leave.

UMS Technology Fee: Students
registering for classes offered at USM's off-campus centers or sites
are assessed a $6.00 per credit fee, to support the cost of the
technology at the off-campus centers and sites.

Course Enrollment: Students registering for classes
offered via the World Wide Web are assessed a $25.00 per credit hour
fee.

Enrollment: A one-time $150.00 fee is
assessed to all newly admitted undergraduate degree students.

Graduate Student Enrollment: A one-time $50.00 fee is assessed
to all students newly admitted to a graduate degree program.

Graduate non-matric Student: A $20.00 per
semester fee is assessed to all non-matriculated Graduate students.

Specialty Accreditation Fee Graduate: A $50.00 per credit
hour fee is assessed to students enrolling in graduate courses
offered by the School of Business. The fee will support
research and scholarship activities that help assure the school's
continued accreditation by an international organization.

Specialty Accreditation Fee
Undergraduate: A $9.00 per credit hour fee is assessed to
students enrolling in upper level undergraduate courses (300 level
and above) offered by the School of Business. The fee will
support research and scholarship activities that help assure the
school's continued accreditation by an international organization.

MBA Orientation Fee: A One-time
orientation fee is assessed to all newly admitted MBA students.
The fee covers the cost of a one day experiential learning exercise
required during the first year of enrollment.

Insufficient Funds: A $25.00 fee is
assessed when a check is returned due to insufficient funds or when
a credit card payment is declined.

Late Payment: A
$50.00 fee (maximum of $200.00 per semester) is assessed to student accounts
if charges are not paid when due. Late fees are charged when payment plan
payments are not paid when due.

Payment plan: A
non-refundable $30.00 fee is assessed to students enrolling in one
of USM's three installment plans. This fee is assessed each semester a

Academic Assessment:
Non-matriculated students taking English and/or Math placement exams
are charged $20.00 per exam. For more information on other

Long Distance Phone Charges: Long
distant phone call charges are posted to student accounts.

Health Service Fees: USM's Health
Centers will allow a student to add fees for services rendered to
their student bill.

Community Standard Fee: A $35.00
fee is charged to any student who is sanctioned under the Conduct
Code

Distance Learning Course Support Fee: This materials handling fee is assessed at $12.00 per credit hour to all students enrolled at ITV receiving sites and /or at a University center.
