After School Enrichment Programs

Serve an afternoon a week or more at one of these sites to help provide homework help and structured activities to promote academic achievement for college access:

  • Boys and Girls Club at Riverton Park and Sagamore Villlage
  • LearningWorks Afterschool at Reiche or East End Elementary
  • Make It Happen Study Center at Deering High School
  • Parkside Neighborhood Center - Nightlight Afterschool Program
  • King-Parkside Academic Collaboration - King Middle School/Parkside Neighborhood Center
  • Portland Housing Authority Study Center - Riverton Park

Volunteers have served as academic tutors, facilitators of structured playtime and learning activities (including music, arts and sports activities), or facilitators of programs discussing health and life skills or leadership skills. No matter your interest, there is a place for you in an afterschool program!
