Alternative School Break

Alternative School Break - ASB - is a student group that participates in  week long, substance free, service trips during Spring Break in March.  Students serve with local organizations in the community to which they travel, meeting community need and learning about the culture of the area and the people they serve. There's always time for some fun and sight-seeing as well!  Students raise funds throughout the year to keep out-of-pocket costs as low as possible.

Watch for interest meetings in Fall 2014.   The student leaders for the group are Sam Michaud (samantha.michaud1@maine.edu) and Rebecca Tanous (rebecca.tanous@maine.edu)

The group is also actively looking for a trip advisor to help out this Spring!  Applicants will ideally be a USM faculty member, staff member, or graduate assistant.
