Samantha made her way from Pittsburgh, PA and will be serving as the AmeriCorps*VISTA Coordinator for School-Based Programs. She attended Valparaiso University where she earned a B.S. in Mathematics and International Service.  Samantha will coordinate mentoring and after school enrichment programs that place USM students in local schools. Her role is to recruit, train, and support USM student volunteers. They will be placed in programs such as LearningWorks, Portland Mentoring Alliance, King Middle School, and Make It Happen. Samantha will work with Karlene to build in specific steps to strengthen sustainability of these partnerships and programs.
