Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction: A Two-Day Intensive |
Mindfulness is about paying attention, right here, right now to what is. Studying and practicing mindfulness provides powerful methods for reducing stress and bringing more happiness and joy into everyday life. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), based on the work of John Kabat-Zinn, is a way of taking charge of each moment of your life, relating directly to whatever is happening as you consciously work with stress, pain and illness and the challenges and demands of everyday life. Twenty-five years of research indicate that MBSR is a powerful tool, and in this course, you will have the opportunity to practice interventions that can be used in the helping professions as well as in your personal life. We will explore:
Discover and develop your ability to move toward greater balance, control, and peace of mind.
