Individuals account for the majority of philanthropic giving in the U.S., and yet many nonprofits do not have major gifts programs or strategies in place. For some organizations, a lack of data inhibits the identification of major gift prospects; and in many cases, the fear of making "the ask" prevents organizations from building the deeper relationships with donors that can result in major gifts.
