Certificate Program: Holistic Health Care Practice

In holistic health care, mind, body, spirit, and environment are seen as interconnected and essential to both personal well being and to healing others. A holistic approach recognizes that practitioners who have a firm foundation of balance and wellness in their own lives are more able to effectively provide healing and health care to others.

Holistic health care honors both conventional and complementary medicine. It is interdisciplinary in nature and relevant and enriching to the entire range of professionals providing care for physical, mental and emotional health.

This program is designed for a wide range of licensed health and human service professionals including nurses, therapists, social workers, counselors, and allied health practitioners. A copy of your license must be submitted to receive a certificate.

Registered nurses will be able to expand their practice and begin the process for certification. (All levels of certification - non-baccalaureate, baccalaureate and graduate - require 48 hours of continuing education.) For information about certification visit www.ahncc.org.

For therapists and allied health care providers, the course provides an introduction to body-mind-spirit and energetic methods of healing that can enhance clinical practice and referral.
