Human Resources Certification Preparatory Course (PHR and SPHR) |

This program is for experienced HR professionals who are preparing for the PHR or SPHR exam. If you are new to the field or updating your skills, the HR certificate program is a better choice. Utilizing materials from the Society for Human Resource Management's Resource Learning System, this course explores practical information in each of the HR functional areas to help you reach your professional goals and prepare you for the Professional or Senior Professional in Human Resources certification exams (PHR or SPHR). Additional resources for individuals interested HR Management: This program is delivered in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management. Individuals who are interested in earning either the PHR or SPHR credential are urged to review the information at www.shrm.org to make sure they are well-informed about the requirements. Kristine Avery, SPHR, has extensive experience in human resource management and is the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at FISC Solutions (Financial Institutions Service Corporation) in Lewiston. She is the 2011/2012 Director of SHRM's Maine State Council http://meshrm.shrm.org and the Immediate Past-President of Human Resources Association of Southern Maine. www.hrasm.shrm.org. She was also named the HR Leader of the Year for 2010, and inducted into the Maine HR Hall of Fame in 2011.
