Designing for Effective Learning

Trainers stand at the crossroad between keeping an organization and its people capable and stable and promoting growth through continuous learning and advancement. Whether you design for online, blended, or classroom learning, in this course you will harness your creativity and planning skills to draft programs based on ten principles of adult learning. You will get feedback and ideas from your experienced trainer and from your fellow course participants. You will learn:

  • The unique ways that adults learn
  • How to flex your designs to accommodate different learning styles
  • A framework for designing learning programs
  • Tools and techniques to engage participants in learning

Two 6-hour sessions (9:00-4:00 with lunch break)

Laurie Davis, MSOD is a long-time trainer and organization development consultant and principal at Fleurish Consulting. She gets excited about helping working professionals learn and grow through her coaching and programs in leadership development, creative thinking, group dynamics, strategic planning, and navigating change. She has worked with countless groups and individuals to improve their skills and effectiveness.
