APICS CPIM Module 1 "Basics of Supply Chain Management"

As we enter in a period of economic growth, there is no better time to improve your skills and advance your career. APICS Maine, has opened registration for the Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) program. The program blends theories of Operations and Supply Chain Management taken from APICS's recognized body of knowledge with discussions of real world examples and solutions.

The content structure incorporates a business process orientation by use of 5 integrated modules. The Entry module Basics of Supply Chain Management covers basic concepts of the complete flow of materials from suppliers to customers. There are 3 Business process modules Master Planning of Resources, Detailed Scheduling and Planning, and Execution and Control of Operations, which explore the applications of today's methodologies and techniques to drive processes. The capstone module Strategic Management of Resources focuses on choosing appropriate methodologies and techniques for specific needs. After passing a subject matter exam on each of the 5 modules, participants receive the internationally recognized CPIM Certification.
