Macintosh Printer Help
In order to take advantage of advanced features with Lexmark laser printers, you need to have a PPD (Printer Description File) for that specific printer. We have created an installer that will copy the Lexmark PPDs to your computer.
Once you have downloaded the installer, find the program (it should be titled lexmarkPPD). Run this program, and it will copy the PPDs to the proper folder.
Once the PPDs have been installed, you should be able to go into the "chooser", pick your printer, and assign a PPD. This will inform your Macintosh of the features your printer has, and allow you to pick different paper trays, and other options the printer has available.
