The School of Nursing is committed to providing exemplary educational programs, scholarship, and community and professional service which is responsive to the needs of the citizens of Maine and in the global community. The dean's office for the College of Nursing and Health Professions, and the School of Nursing are located in Portland.
The College also offers nursing degree programs at USM's Lewiston-Auburn campus . The Department of Nursing at Lewiston-Auburn offers a regular BS in nursing and a RN-BS completion program.
NOTICE: The School of Nursing at the University of Southern Maine is hosting an accreditation visit from the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) in March. The evaluation team will be on campus from March 1 to 3, 2010. As part of the accreditation process our constituents, including students, alumni, employers, faculty, staff, and members of the community, are invited to submit written and signed third-party comments to CCNE up to 30 days before the visit (1/28/2010). Comments will not be shared with the School of Nursing at any time but will be reviewed by the evaluation team.
