ERI Student Policies
Nursing students are required to take the Educational Resources Incorporated (ERI) tests when they are registered for courses which require these tests. This program helps students prepare for the NCLEX-RN examination and helps the School of Nursing with curriculum evaluation.
Courses that require an ERI test currently include:
NUR 212
NUR 323
NUR 423
NUR 470
NUR 480
All tests are taken on-line except for the test for NUR 480 which is a proctored classroom test. On-line tests are offered near the end of the semester. Students must take this test during this time period. No exceptions. Your instructor will alert you when information and instructions will be posted on your course Blackboard site. The testing time for NUR 480 will be determined with faculty and student input and will be posted on Blackboard as well.
Students who fail to take the required ERI test by the end of exam week will lose a minimum of 2 points from their final grade in the course requiring an ERI. There are no make-ups. Faculty may choose to subtract additional points for missing the test and may opt to give incentive points.
