MOTECH Project Receives Computerworld Honors

Mobile Technology for Community Health (MOTECH) is a mobile-phone based information system for rural health nurses in Ghana developed at USM by Computer Science faculty member Bruce Macleod in collaboration with Columbia University. The MOTECH project was recently lauded by Computerworld for its initiative to improve health outcomes for mothers and their newborns in Ghana. MOTECH was one of 267 honorees recognized as part of the Computerworld Honors Program 2013.
