USM Graduate Student Dorice Timko Awarded NBCC Scholarship

Dorice Timko of Jonesport was recently awarded a scholarship by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) Foundation. Timko is a current graduate student in the rehabilitation counseling program at USM.  She has a B.A. in community studies and applied anthropology from the University of Maine Machias, is a master practitioner of Reiki and has been a UMaine Cooperative Extension Master Gardener volunteer since 2005. She is an avid supporter of small-scale, sustainable farms and businesses. Timko is currently employed as a certified behavioral health professional assigned to a young child on the autism spectrum.

Admissions Deadline Extended to March 31, 2015

The Counselor Education program will be conducting a second round of admissions for the fall 2015 semester, with a deadline of March 31, 2015. Completed application, including standardized test scores, must be submitted by this date. If you have any questions about the application process, please contact me at lsweet@usm.maine.edu.
