1. Upcoming CTEL Emerging Learning Technology Workshop - Basic Video Production Skills

This workshop is focused on basic video production skills. The Workshop will cover how to create simple screencasts, webcam videos, and narrated PowerPoint videos, as well as how to put finished videos online and how to embed them within Blackboard.

2. Adobe Connect Training

We are holding four training sessions on basic Adobe Connect skills to help get first time users started and to provide tips and reminders for those in need of a refresher.

3. Tech Tutors program: Trained USM students will provide support with learning technologies to USM students 

Ahead of the Fall semester, USM Tech Tutors will be offering on-site and online support with Adobe Connect and VoiceThread. Faculty utilizing these technologies should encourage their students to attend one of the following sessions:

4. Sloan C: Free Just-In-Time Skills Workshops

The Sloan Consortium offers synchronous and asynchronous workshops on topics such as interactive learning activities, accessibility, and many other topics related to teaching and learning. CTEL has several ‘College Pass’ seats available for USM faculty and staff for events in August. 5. New Pilot Projects: GoREACT and Wacom Intuos Tablets

a. GoREACT: GoREACT is an online video recording tool designed to provide feedback for public speaking/speech, faculty review, sign language/interpreter training, student teaching observation, and music/dance/theatrical performances. 

b. Wacom Intuos Tablets: ITMS has recently acquired 5 Wacom Intuos tablets. These tablets are available for faculty to borrow for both short and long term projects.
