Since 2009, all UMS email has been hosted by Google. As a result, anyone who has an @maine.edu email account also has access to Google Drive. Google Drive is a cloud-based document storage and synchronization tool, which allows users to create, share, and collaborate on the web with documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and more. It is a great resource for both educators and students. During this workshop, you will learn the basics of Google Drive and how it can be utilized in your classes- whether online, blended, or face-to-face.
CTEL Learning Designers Pieter Tryzelaar and Rucha Modak will lead this workshop. This is a hands-on workshop, so please bring your mobile device or laptop along. We will primarily focus on creating a Google document, a spreadsheet and a form and sharing it with your collaborators. You are welcome to bring specific projects that you would like to add to your Google Drive.
