Emerging Learning Technology Workshop: Getting Started With Google Drive

October 17, 2013
12:00 PM to 1:30 PM
Glickman Library, 423-424

Pieter TryzelaarSince 2009, all UMS email has been hosted by Google. As a result, anyone who has an email account also has access to Google Drive. Google Drive is a cloud-based document storage and synchronization tool, which allows users to create, share, and collaborate on the web with documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and more. It is a great resource for both educators and students. During this workshop, you will learn the basics of Google Drive and how it can be utilized in your classes- whether online, blended, or face-to-face.

Rucha ModakCTEL Learning Designers Pieter Tryzelaar and Rucha Modak will lead this workshop. This is a hands-on workshop, so please bring your mobile device or laptop along. We will primarily focus on creating a Google document, a spreadsheet and a form and sharing it with your collaborators. You are welcome to bring specific projects that you would like to add to your Google Drive.

Thursday 10/17/13 | 12:00-1:30 pm | Glickman Library, 423-424 | USM Portland Campus
