BS in Exercise Science - Exercise Physiology
The Exercise Physiology major focuses on developing professional competencies that enable them to recognize and evaluate cardiovascular, pulmonary, and metabolic functions in diseased and healthy populations. In addition, exercise physiologists are often involved in researching the effects of exercise on the human body, and rehabilitating individuals suffering from pathological conditions such as cardiovascular and/or pulmonary diseases. The exercise physiology major, upon completion of the curriculum, will be prepared to challenge the Clinical Exercise Specialist certification examination administered through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
