    • Kelly J. Ahearn, MS, RD
      Kelly graduated from USM with her B.S. in Exercise Science (exercise physiology concentration) in spring 2009.  She completed her M.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics in fall 2012 at NYU and is an RD (Registered Dietitian).  Kelly recently accepted a private practice position at Doctors at Trump Place located in the Upper West Side of Manhattan where she will be working with a wonderful doctor and other wellness professionals who take an integrative approach, have a holistic view, and base their practice on sound science. She recently wrote to her exercise science faculty: "Thank you USM. You are the foundation that started me on my career track."
       
    • Dr. Kevin Bardwell, D.C., C.C.E.P.
      Dr. Kevin Bardwell, CEO and founder of bwellhealth, is a Chiropractic Physician and Sport Scientist who specializes in analyzing dynamic movement patterns of athletes and patients. He studied Exercise Physiology at S.U.N.Y. Brockport and holds a degree in Health Science from the University of Southern Maine. Dr. Bardwell received his doctorate from Life University in Atlanta and his Masters of Sport Science and Rehabilitation from Logan College in St. Louis. Dr. Bardwell is also a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner and a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. Since early 2012, Dr. Bardwell has been the lead technician for an ongoing concussion study between the University of Maine and Logan College of Chiropractic. Jen Baker, a 2006 USM Exercise Science graduate, works alongside Dr. Bardwell at his practice in Yarmouth.

    • Michael A. Giordano Jr. "Tony" (L-ATC)
      Tony received his BS in Athletic Training from the University of Southern Maine in May 2008. He is a board Certified Athletic Trainer, and is licensed in the state of Maine. Tony is also the Head Athletic Trainer at Thornton Academy as well as an Approved Clinical Instructor for both the University of Southern Maine and the University of New England.
       
    • Michele Lamare
      Michele graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 1988 with a Sociology degree and then worked in retail for 20 years before she went back to USM and earned a second degree in Health and Fitness in May 2012. She now works as a Health Fitness Specialist for Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC). She is an avid believer that exercise is medicine and those individuals who participate in regular exercise, including those with chronic conditions, can experience amazing improvements in their quality of life. Her current responsibilities include: new member fitness orientations, personal training, teaching group exercise classes, and conducting Job Placement Assessments for new hires at CMMC.
