Smudge studio considers Portland’s shoreline in Zuihitsu, an exhibition that addresses the landscape as event—as a continuous streaming of forces, configurations, and undoings. Smudge’s landscape-based workshop with students will also be on view.

The USM School of Music is presents world class tenor John McVeigh in a master class from 1:30 - 3 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2012 in Corthell Concert Hall on the USM Gorham campus. Tickets are $6 and will be sold at the door. The class is free to USM music and USM Youth Ensembles members. For ticket information visit the Music Box Office at 780-5555. TTY: 780-5646.
Guest artist John McVeigh, tenor offers a world class voice master class for USM graduate voice majors.Tickets are $6 at the door. Free for USM music majors, and members of the Southern Maine Children's Choir, one of the USM Youth Ensembles.
The Southworth Planetarium offers its 12th annual Halloween Party! During this year's program we add a new live-action program called "SKY MONSTERS!" A look at some of the the horrid monsters in the stars, including Draco the Dragon and Medusa!
We'll have also have our Moon Witch show, telescope viewing and it is followed by our 5th annual THE GHOST HOUR
And, if that is not enough of an an inducement, we'll have free food!!
Admission: $6.00 per person; $2.00 if you wear a costume!

This memorable concert features Jed Wilson, piano; Bronek Suchanek, bass; Gary Wittner, guitar; Les Harris Jr., drums; Bill Street and Barry Saunders, saxophones; Chris Oberholtzer, trombone; and Brent LaCasce, vocals.
