The Franco-American Collection at the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College invites the public to participate in a French sing-along session Friday, January 18, from 1:15 p.m. to take place at the USM LAC campus in Lewiston.
The session will consist of one hour of traditional French and French-Canadian songs. Words to all the songs are provided, so even those whose French is only “assez bien” are welcome. The music and atmosphere of friendship are maintained by an enthusiastic and talented group of community singers and musicians.
In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed until Friday January 25 at the same time and location. For information on weather cancellations, please call USM LAC's stormline at 207-753-6595 on the day of the event.

We're offering an updated version of the "Eight Planets and Counting" program! Humanity's knowledge of the solar system has changed dramatically within the last few years. As we know the International Astronomical Union has demoted Pluto, but astronomers have also found an array of other bodies, called "Trans-Neptunian Objects."
The omni-dome "Eight Planets and Counting" program guides you through the solar system: from our parent star, the Sun, out to the realm beyond Neptune. Along the way, we'll visit each of the eight planets in turn, we'll explore the Moon, and we'll fly through the asteroid belt.
Join us for this fantastic full dome odyssey through the solar system!
