The International Relations Association (The IRA) is a group of students with a shared interest in the international community and the issues the world faces today. The IRA meets weekly to discuss and debate solutions to these issues. In addition, the IRA attends national and international model United Nations conferences, as well as assists in hosting USM’s high school conference, MeMUNC. The IRA is committed to giving back to the community, and hosts civil service projects in the greater Portland area at least twice a year.
Please provide a brief description of your event: The sisters of Alpha Xi Delta from the University of Southern Maine will be hosting a Xi Man competition on Thursday, March 7th. This event will be held in the Lower Brooks student center on the Gorham campus. The event will be raising money and awareness for Autism Speaks. If you come and support our event by purchasing a ticket you will receive a one of a kind sports bottle!!

http://www.autismspeaks.org/ Xi Man is a contest between male students from various student organizations at the University of Southern Maine. Contestants compete in three different categories and raise money for our philanthropy Autism Speaks. The contestant who has the most votes at the end of the competition will be crowned Xi Man 2013.
All proceeds will be going to the Autism Speaks organization and you can help us by voting for your top choice for Xi Man!
We will be holding voting tables 2 or 3 days before the event where you will be able to purchase tickets in the Gorham Cafe!
