Come in and participate in the Clothesline Project by creating a T-shirt design in support of survivors or sexual violence. T shirts will be hung around campus in the weeks leading up to Take Back the Night on the 24th and 26th.

The second annual Portland Children’s Film Festival will take place from April 4-7 in venues throughout Portland. The festival will feature unique independent and international film showings, artist-lead workshops, a film contest for K-12 students, and other events designed to teach attendees of any age.

Portland venues for film showing and workshops include Nickelodeon Cinemas, Portland Public Library, East End Community School, USM Abromson Theater and more.

The festival was created and organized by East End Community School parents and teachers with the intention of bringing Maine families together to view and celebrate the art of film-making. Organizers have planned this festival to be an annual fixture of Portland’s community that will continue to grow in size and scope.

A fantastic full-dome show about the history and science of telescopes.   Who invented the telescope?  How have astronomers employed these astounding instruments to unravel the Universe's deepest secrets?

"Two Small Pieces of Glass" follows two young people who attend a star party and learn how telescopes work while they observe many wondrous objects within the cosmos.
