Upward Bound student Kaitlynn Tarbox
Developing students' confidence to pursue college -- and the skills to get in and excel -- is what the Upward Bound program is all about. A 2009 Mathematica Policy Research, Inc. report on Upward Bound participants found that they were more likely to enroll in college, apply for student financial aid and complete a college degree than other equally qualified students.
USM Guide app debuts
A free phone, tablet and web app, USM Guidebook, just debuted in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. The app provides resources, event schedules, support services and year-round program information for current students, prospective students and families.
