Join us Thursday, December 19 at 2:00 for a book reading and discssion of "Down the Plains", the second memoir by Franco-American author, Rhea Côté Robbins.

Following on from her first memoir, Wednesday's Child, Robbin's second autobiography chronicles her childhood in Waterville's "Plains" neighborhood - the local equivalent of the Petit Canadas found in so many New England towns.

Robbins conducts research on French heritage women and their contributions to Franco-American culture as Director of the Franco-American Women's Institute.  In addition to "Down the Plains", she is the author of and editor of "Canuck and Other Stories."

Copies of the book can be purchased at the event.
