Robert Couturier - Homage à Louis-Philippe Gagné

Robert Couturier's "Homage to Louis Philippe Gagné", originally aired on WCOU Radio, Lewiston in 1964 and 1965.  Produced by Robert Langlais.

Louis-Philippe Gagné, like Robert Couturier, was a prominent citizen in the Franco-American community.  He came to Lewiston from Quebec in 1922, and was instrumental in establishing the sport of snow-shoeing in the United States.  He served as Mayor of Lewiston between 1947 and 1948.  This recording was made shortly after his death in 1963.
