Robert Silberman

Robert Silberman is a visiting scholar in the Art Department and catalog essayist for the Persian Visions exhibition. He is Associate Professor of Art History and Film Studies at the University of Minnesota. He writes frequently on photography, film, and contemporary art for The Burlington Magazine and other publications.

Persian Visions: Contemporary Photography from Iran

The USM Art Galleries is pleased to present 58 works of photography and video installations by Iran’s most celebrated photographers. The exhibition, displayed on two campuses, gathers personal perspectives of contemporary Iran filtered through individual sensibilities, while addressing public concerns.
