Persian Conversations

Join Pamela Karimi and Reza Jalali for a conversation on the politics and poetics of Iranian culture reflected in the USM Art Gallery’s Persian Visions exhibition.  The conversation will be moderated by Carolyn Eyler, USM Director of Exhibitions and Programs.

Pamela Karimi is Assistant Professor of Art History at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She is the author of "Domesticity and Consumer Culture in Iran: Interior Revolutions of the Modern Era" (2013).

Reza Jalali is an Iranian-American educator, Coordinator of USM Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, and co-host of the first Maine interfaith trip to Israel and Palestine. 

This event is organized in collaboration with the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs.
