Gamma Theta Epsilon
ATTENTION GEOGRAPHY/ANTHROPOLOGY MAJORS
The Department of Geography-Anthropology has a chapter of Gamma Theta Upsilon, the International Geographical Honors Society. If you are eligible and interested in joining, please contact Lydia Savage. All members of GTU receive a certificate and are eligible to wear honor cords at commencement.
Requirements:
GPA-3.5
Completion of 36 credit hours.
Completion of a minimum 3 geography courses.
Membership fee of $25.
Purpose of GTU:
Further professional interest in geography.
Strengthen academic experiences.
Encourage student participation.
Provide an outlet for publication through The Geographical Bulletin.
Create and administer funds for graduate study.
Benefits of GTU:
Recognition for being an Honor Society.
Scholarship opportunity.
Nice addition to a resume.
You get to wear nifty honor cords at commencement and have your membership in GTU noted in the program!
