Minor in Geosciences
The minor in Geosciences can be a logical and relevant addition for those majoring in Environmental Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Engineering. We encourage any student with a strong interest in Geoscience to consider the minor.
Courses & Requirements
A minimum of 17 credits of GEY courses is required, including an introductory lecture, and introductory lab, and 13 additional credits of GEY electives, 10 of which must be numbered 200 or higher.
Take the introductory geosciences lecture/lab course as early as possible in your program. The minor is quite flexible beyond the introductory geosciences lecture/lab course, so take upper-level courses after that you like and as they are offered. Be sure to consult the projected sequence of upper-level course offerings to help you plan this part (see link below).
