Program allocations of Office of Graduate Studies Graduate Assistantships and waivers.

February 1, 2008
Applications must be complete in the Admissions Office by February 1, at which time those that have not yet been sent will be sent to programs for consideration.

February 11, 2008
Completed nominations of applicants for consideration for Recruitment Tuition Waivers, ROUND 1 due to Margo Wood, Office of Graduate Studies.

February 18, 2008
Program notification of Recruitment Tuition Waivers. (Offers may be made to awardees.)

Late February, 2008
Office of Graduate Studies selection of graduate program for Milliken Scholarships and notification to program. (Awarded by program to 2 students.)

Mid-March, 2008
Completed nominations for Trustee Tuition Scholarships (for students not receiving assistantships).
It is anticipated that no new scholarships will be available for 2008-09.

Late March, 2008
Trustee Tuition Scholarship Awards

Late March, 2008
Faculty applications for large section CORE TA’s.

Early April, 2008
Allocations, large section CORE TA’s.

March 17. 2008
Applications must be complete in Admissions Office. Sent to Programs.

Program notification of Round 2 Recruitment Tuition Waivers. (Offers may be made to awardees.)

August 1, 2008
Deadline for program awards of OGS-sponsored Graduate Assistantships to students. Most of these should be awarded much sooner, and will come
with a tuition waiver: amounts to be determined for 2008-2009.

Note: Students who need federal financial aid should contact the USM Financial Aid office in January for the following fall semester deadlines, and by September for the following spring semester deadlines.
