Teona
Beaulieu graduated from Kennebec Valley Community
College, Fairfield, Maine in May of 2005. She graduated
with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in the
program of Health Information Technology. In January of
2006 she received her certification as a Registered
Health Information Technician.
At USM Teona Beaulieu is
the Health Information Manager (HIM) of both the
Portland and Gorham Health and Counseling Centers. As
HIM, Teona is responsible for ensuring the quality of
medical records by verifying their completeness,
accuracy, and proper entry into computer systems. Teona
initiated the Quality Assessment program at the health
and counseling centers, a process which assembles and
analyzes patient data for the purpose of improving
patient care or controlling costs. She has been a
member of the Professional Staff Senate since 2007.
When not at work Teona
spends most of her free time at the sporting events of
her two boys, 12yrs. & 9yrs., who are involved in
football, wrestling, basketball, and baseball.
