FACULTY POSITIONS: RANK OPEN #7908
3 full-time, 9 month appointments within the School of Nursing (SON)
AFUM represented position
The University of Southern Maine's College of Nursing and Health Professions invites applications for 3 full-time, 9 month faculty appointments within the School of Nursing (SON). Appointment at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank will be a tenure-track hire while ABD candidates will be hired at the instructor level (for a fixed-length period), be placed in a non-tenure track line, and will have an agreed upon date for the completion of the terminal degree. In these instances upon completion of the doctorate within the fixed period, the position will convert to a tenure-track line. Successful candidates must be able to teach across the undergraduate and graduate curriculums within the candidate’s area of expertise. Selected candidates will also conduct, present and publish scholarly activities in state, region and national forums and will provide service to the department, college, university, community and profession.
Qualifications required: A completed Doctorate, or ABD status, and a Masters degree in Nursing. Preferred: Evidence of scholarly productivity, university level teaching experience and clinical experiences in the areas of Adult Health, Family Health, Gerontology, or Pediatrics; and APRN certification in a clinical specialty. Starting date is September 1, 2008. The position is contingent upon funding.
