The IR-HR Mission...
- to further and comply with the mission of the Division of Information and Technology which aims to "...consolidate all Information and Technology positions and services under a
single management structure to work as a business partner with the other U.S.M.
Divisions and Departments to accomplish their missions."
- to retrieve raw data from the MaineStreet system, transform that data into information, and supply the information appropriately, timely, and accurately, specifically to Human Resources, but also to those who have a use or an interest in it, via a variety of methods,
- to further facilitate Human Resources functions by providing applicable information based on MaineStreet data in order to improve data validity, and by distributing the data to specific Human Resources information consumers who can then easily correct or use the data as needed,
- to provide pertinent, or decision-making information to University information consumers and information consumers from the Public,
- to continuously streamlime business processes by providing more applicable information and better, more user-friendly delivery systems, enabling users to become capable, self-sufficient users of Project Enterprise HR data,
- to lead USM departments in the extraction, interpretation, dissemination and reporting of their Project Enterprise data,
- to advance a cohesive IR department that can report data across departmental lines resulting in better access to and dissemination of University data,
- to enhance IR-HR communication and awareness of available systems, improve data delivery speed, reduce costs,
and maintain data security.
