University of Southern Maine
International Programs Advisory Committee

Purpose

The role of the International Programs Advisory Board of the University of Southern Maine is to provide a forum for sharing information on a broad range of service issues and activities. The board members advise the Provost and staff of the Office of International Exchange, lend support for international activity, serve as a sounding board for new initiatives, advocate for growth of the international mission of the University and participate in resource acquisition.

The members are selected from key constituent groups and companion support units for their creative leadership within their organizational roles.  The membership is representative of the divisions of USM which are currently or potentially active internationally.  Personal interest in expanding the world for USM students is expected as is the desire to enjoy the process.

The Advisory Committee will normally meet two to three times per year.  Members will receive information regularly from the Office of International Exchange designed to keep them informed of international activity and opportunities.
