The Refugee and Human Rights Clinic seeks bilingual French/English work-study or volunteer students (hours flexible) to assist with French interpreting/translating services. The primary need involves interpreting/translating for clients seeking asylum and other humanitarian-based immigration status in the United States. Many of the clients fled their home countries after suffering severe physical and psychological harm and are seeking refuge in the U.S. Our volunteers are essential to the work we do. The number of hours and time each week are quite flexible. Fluency in French and English is required but prior experience interpreting and translating is not required. We will provide the basic training. Interested students should contact Professor Anna Welch at email@example.com.
