Members of the USM faculty and staff increasingly include international material and perspectives in their instruction, research, and service. The Office of International Programs participates in efforts to expand personal and institutional expertise in global issues through the following means management of faculty international travel grants collaboration on fund-raising for projects that foster    international learning promotion of international exchange opportunities:       Fulbright: Council for International Exchange of Scholars        AIFS Faculty Development Program       CIEE International Faculty Development Seminars New Faculty Development Opportunities PARTNERSHIP MAINE-FRANCE-QUEBEC Partnership Maine-France-Quebec is an exciting new relationship among the University of Maine System and its seven universities, nine partner academic institutions in France, and the nine universities of the University of Quebec, the only public university system in Canada.  This partnership offers UMS faculty the opportunity to teach in France and/or to participate in travel seminars, lead student trips, engage in collaborative research and creative activity, attend colloquia, and participate in a wide range of other professional opportunities in France and Quebec.  In return, French and Quebecois faculty have the opportunity to come to Maine to engage in teaching, research, creative activity, and other professional development opportunities.  To learn more visit the PMFQ website.
