Community Banks Scholarship
As the chart below shows, education pays. People that pursue a degree in higher education enjoy a higher employment rate and greater earnings.
Androscoggin Bank, Auburn Savings Bank and Mechanics Savings Bank in concert with the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College are pleased to announce a joint initiative in support of affordable higher education in Androscoggin County.
The three Androscoggin County based community banks have pledged $24,000 payable over four years to match gifts from the community dollar for dollar. On a pooled basis, these commitments will fund up to $48,000 of Scholarships in support of Androscoggin County residents seeking degrees from USM’s Lewiston-Auburn College.
