Daniel Stasko, Assistant Professor of Natural and Applied
Sciences
University of Wyoming, Ph.D.
Professor Stasko offers courses in general chemistry and introductory organic and biochemistry. He also teaches chemistry for allied health fields (ie. nursing chemistry), as well as science classes for non‑science majors. His research interests are in the chemistry and properties of new materials, particularly ion conductors such as those found in fuel‑cells. He also has research projects related to developing methods of shifting science courses into an online setting using pencasts or other forms of multimedia. An extension of this is examining science literacy and student exposure to science in non‑science classes (such as history).
